The 2 AM Problem

Every builder knows the feeling. It's 2 AM and you have an idea that feels genuinely important. You want to tell someone, brainstorm, maybe even start building. But the tools available — Slack, Discord, Google Docs — all require setup, invites, context-switching.

By the time you've set everything up, the energy is gone.

What Collab-Spaces Solves

Collab-Spaces is a private workspace that any two Hustle users can launch instantly. Not just chat — a whiteboard for sketching, a to-do list for tracking tasks, a calendar for scheduling, and a file space for sharing assets.

The whole thing lives inside Hustle. No switching apps. No configuration. Just two people and a shared space to build.

Design Decisions

We made some deliberate choices:

No public channels. Collab-Spaces are intentionally private between members. We're not building another Discord. We're building a garage.

Persistent context. Everything you add — messages, tasks, files, whiteboard drawings — stays. Come back a week later and pick up exactly where you left off.

Real-time presence. You can see who's in the space, what they're working on, and when they were last active.

What's Next

We're adding video calls directly inside Collab-Spaces. No Zoom links. No calendar invites. Just a button that says "Jump on a call." That's the next milestone.
